The Chamber of Mines, the focus of Friday’s student march in Johannesburg, has seemingly been identified by student leadership as a symbolic representative of South African business, which is seen as a promising source of the funding required to fulfil the demand for free tertiary education. In the circumstances, some perspectives from us on the issue would seem appropriate.
